Details of This Jewel
Truly a stand out piece, the charming colors of this aquamarine diamond ring sets it apart from the rest. An original creation of Paolo Costagli, this statement ring features a tri-stone design on a two-tone 18kt gold band. The 6.15-carat cushion cut aquamarine is prong-set in the middle of the band with a white gold base. Flanking the blue stone are trillion cut morganites set on rose gold. The arrangement is wrapped with brilliant white diamonds, making the ring sparkle in all directions. This aquamarine rose gold ring is the perfect all-day jewel with its soft pastel colors, classic silhouette, and comfortable design.
Our latest collection of designer statement rings highlights the wonderful colors of rare gemstones from all over the world. Each ring in this collection features a magnificent jewel that is chosen by Paolo himself. In true Costagli tradition, the gemstones are expertly cut in perfect proportions in order to bring out their best color and brilliance. When it comes to designing the collection, he adhered to our design philosophy of creating jewellery that is as current as the woman who wears it. The result are timeless designs that are of outstanding quality, meant to last a lifetime.
Named for its alluring shade of sky blue, pleasantly saturated aquamarines such as the gemstone set in this ring, are rare and therefore quite valuable. Aquamarines belong to the same family of Beryls as emeralds, along with Heliodor, the yellow variety and Morganites, of pink to brownish pink hues. True pink Morganite such as these are even rarer than aquamarines. The best of these light magenta crystals are mined from Madagascar. While its color is also natural, stable heat treatment is routinely applied to remove brown tones.
